Delete your Guardian account

1. Before you delete

Account deletion is permanent. Guardian support cannot recover a deleted account, saved reviews, cases, drafts, reminders, or other deleted account data.

If you want a copy of your account data first, open Guardian Settings and choose Create privacy export. The resulting export link is one-time and short-lived.

2. Delete your account in the App

1. Open Guardian.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Sign in with Apple if prompted so Guardian can verify account ownership.
4. Choose Delete account.
5. Review the warning and confirm permanent deletion.

Guardian reports completion only after required account-deletion steps succeed. If deletion cannot be completed, the App will show an error instead of falsely reporting that the account was deleted.

3. What completed deletion removes

Completed deletion removes the Guardian backend account and account-scoped information, including:

• Saved family profile and review preferences
• Entitlement metadata associated with the Guardian account
• Review history, saved reports, findings, and processing state associated with the account
• Guardian cases, parent decisions, action history, school events, reminders, response notes, and saved message drafts
• Support cases, active sessions, recovery hash, and encrypted Apple revocation credential
• Account-linked audit and first-party analytics records, plus pseudonymous first-party events matching the current installation where Guardian can identify them
• On the deleting device, Guardian’s local analytics identifier, queued first-party deliveries, one-time analytics markers, and pending AppsFlyer event and attribution-snapshot state

4. Information that may remain temporarily

Guardian may retain limited records where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, or accounting purposes. These records are restricted and kept only as long as reasonably necessary.

Pseudonymous first-party events from a different installation that were never connected to your account may remain until the configured analytics retention window expires, generally within 90 days. A fresh random local analytics identifier may be created if Guardian is used again after deletion.

To honor a completed deletion if a first-party analytics delivery was already in transit or is retried, Guardian may retain only a one-way installation hash in a deletion-suppression list for no longer than the analytics retention window, generally 90 days. The hash is used only to discard those late deliveries and does not contain the raw installation identifier.

Apple, AppsFlyer, Meta, RevenueCat, and other providers may retain information already processed under their own policies. Guardian’s in-app deletion clears pending local AppsFlyer events and attribution-snapshot state, but it cannot retract records already processed by another provider.

Apple maintains App Store purchase and subscription records under Apple’s own policies. Guardian cannot delete Apple’s records for you.

5. Sign in with Apple accounts

If your Guardian account uses Sign in with Apple, Guardian first asks Apple to revoke the stored Guardian credential. Guardian does not report deletion complete if that revocation fails. This helps prevent an apparently deleted account from remaining connected to Apple access.

You may also review apps using Sign in with Apple in your Apple account settings. Removing Apple authorization there is separate from deleting the Guardian backend account, so use Guardian’s in-app deletion flow whenever possible.

6. If you cannot access the App

Email louismurad21@gmail.com with a brief explanation. Do not email verification codes, recovery keys, school materials, student records, or screenshots containing child information.

Support will verify account ownership and cannot bypass those checks. A deleted account cannot be restored.
